NEW DEAL DEICING [ Specialist in Solids 'Unique Product, Premium ServiceTM December 16, 2015 Weld County Planning Department 1555 N. 17th Ave. Greeley, CO 80631 Re: Evidence of Adequate Water Supply for USR Application Dear Sir or Madam: New Deal Deicing is applying for USR on a parcel of land that is within Weld County (Parcel ID: 147327000068). The proposed building will be used for the manufacturing and warehousing of various environmentally friendly deicing products. Since the manufacturing process is a dry process that does not require water usage, the main usage of water will be from the Company's domestic use for a staff of 10 employees and a minimal amount of landscaping. New Deal Deicing has consulted with Colorado Division of Water Resources and the Division has advised the following: 1) Since a Recorded Exemption (RE) application is being processed concurrently with the USR application, a non-exempt well permit shall be applied once the land has been divided into two legal buildable lots. Current processing time for well permit applications is 4-6 weeks. 2) A well shall be constructed to draw water from the "Lower Arapahoe" aquifer with an annual water supply of approximately 5.7 acre feet, which is sufficient for the proposed needs. New Deal Deicing will act upon the Division of Water Resources' advice and will apply for a well permit as soon as the new parcel is legally platted. Thank you for your consideration. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or feedback. Currently the property is an agricultural use, and is comprised of approximately 34 acres of undeveloped land located northwest of the intersection of Weld County Roads 4 and 45. Testing of the on-site soils is currently underway and results will be available soon. It is proposed to construct a small industrial facility on the property which will require a wastewater system. For the proposed use of the property, the sewage disposal requirement (volume) is understood and there are options for treatment. The property does not have public sanitary system readily available to service the new facility. Therefore, it is proposed to utilize an engineered individual on-site wastewater treatment system. Currently, it is anticipated that the demand will be low enough that it will be feasible to use an onsite septic tank and leach field system that will be in compliance with the Weld County Department of Public Health Regulations.
