RE: OPPOSITION TO METRO DENVER SLUDGE MANAGEMENT PLAN REGARDING
THE PROPOSED DRYING AND DISTRIBUTION SITE IN ADAMS COUNTY,
COLORADO.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, are charged with the responsibility of administering
the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, it has come to the attention of the Board of
County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the Metro
Denver Sludge Management Plan has proposed locating sludge
drying ponds in the Lost Creek Drainage Basin in Sections 16 and
21 and in the Western Halves of Sections 15 and 22 in Township 2
South, Range 64 West of the 6th P.M. , in Adams County, Colorado,
and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, are opposed to the location of any sludge drying ponds
in the aforementioned lands located in Adams County, Colorado.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County
Commissioners, Weld County, Colorado, that notice of the
opposition of the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, to the use of the afore described real estate in Adams
County, Colorado, by the Metro Denver Sludge Management Plan
for the location of sludge drying ponds in the Lost Creek Drainage
Basin be conveyed to the regional administrator of the United
States Environmental Protection Agency and notice to be further
directed to the Lost Creek Groundwater Management District.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on this 20th day
of September, A.D. , 1976.
