RE: APPROVAL OF INCREASE TO THE TOWN OF LaSALLE'S CONSERVATION
TRUST FUND ALLOCATION.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Town of LaSalle was previously granted an
allocation of $2 ,700 .00 from Conservation Trust Funds for its
approved project of new park restrooms, and
WHEREAS, the total cost of said project is $8, 700. 00 , and
WHEREAS, the Town of LaSalle has appropriated $1,400.00
towards the cost of said project, and
WHEREAS, the Town of LaSalle has requested an additional
$4 , 600. 00 from Conservation Trust Funds for their approved
project of new park restrooms, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado deems it advisable to approve said request for $4,600. 00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Com-
missioners of Weld County, Colorado that the request of the Town
of LaSalle for an additional $4 , 600 .00 from the Conservation Trust
Fund be, and hereby is, approved contingent upon the money being
allocated by December 31, 1978 .
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 25th day of
September, A.D. , 1978.

Dear Mr. Dunbar:
RE : CONSERVATION TRUST FUND ALLOCATION
At our meeting with you on August 21 , 1978 we discussed the unfor-
tunate financial problem with the Town of La Salle's approved pro-
ject of new park restrooms . Because the bids received were approx-
imately double the previously estimated cost we feel we can not absorb
this increase and it is greater than your available contingency funds .
At the meeting the consensus was to wait to learn what Johnstown would
do with their allocated funds and possibly use them to alleviate our
dilemma. We have recently learned Johnstown decided to return over
$5000.00 of their funds . At this time we ask you to again consider
our project and further funding in order to complete it by December
31 , 1978 .
Our lowest bidder on the project was asked to furnish us with a revised
bid reflecting any inflationary increases and the resulting total
cost is presently $8700 .00. The Town has appropriated $1400 .00 ,
resulting in our total request of $7300 .00, of which you previously
allocated a minimum of $2700.00.
We very much appreciate your cooperation in this matter and request
your decision as soon as possible in order that the Board of Trustees
may make their final decision at their September 26 , 1978 meeting.
I would be happy to meet with you prior to that time and facilitate
matters in any way to simplify and expedite this process. Please
let me know if I can be of any assistance . Again we thank you for
your continued consideration and assistance . We sincerely appreciate
it and look forward to hearing from you.
