The Colorado Workforce Development Council (CWDC) has received your request for approval by the
Governor for the Weld County Workforce Development Board to be the provider of Career Services through
Employment Services of Weld County.
As stated in C.F.R. 679.410, a local workforce development board may act as a provider of career services
only with the agreement of the chief elected official in the local area and the Governor. Further, the CWDC is
authorized to act on behalf of the Governor for the implementation of requirements of WIOA through Executive
Order B 2015 007.
Based upon the review of the information submitted to the CWDC, your request is approved.
This approval is effective immediately and is subject to review upon any of the following occurrences:
a) Changes to the makeup of the Weld County Workforce Development Area;
b) Failure of the Weld County Local Workforce Area to attain subsequent designation;
c) Failure of the Weld County Workforce Development Board to attain certification in 2018 or
decertification of the board at any time;
d) Missing the same performance standard in the Adult or Dislocated Worker program in two
consecutive program years; and
e) Changes to federal law or regulations.
Please contact the Colorado Workforce Development Council offices with any questions.
Thank you for your ongoing commitments and leadership in supporting the workforce needs of Weld
County.
Sincerely,
