Weld County Department of Public Health and Environment Second Floor Hearing Room 210 • The Weld County Board of Health met March 28, 2017, at 9:00 a.m. at the Weld County Administration Building, 1150 O Street, Greeley, Colorado. Those present included: Board Members: Jason Maxey, Chair; Joyce Smock, Vice Chair; Jim Rohn, Linda Kautz, James Kuemmerle, Tim Annable, and Nicholas Berryman. Others: Katie Sall, Environmental Health Specialist, (WCDPH&E); Lauren Light, Environmental Health Manager, (WCDPH&E). • APPROVAL OF AGENDA A motion was made by Jim Rohn to approve the agenda as presented. Linda Kautz seconded the motion, and the motion was carried unanimously. CI APPROVAL OF MINUTES A motion was made by Joyce Smock to approve the February 28, 2017, minutes as submitted. Jim Rohn seconded the motion, and the motion was carried unanimously. la CONSENT ITEMS A motion was made by Linda Kautz to approve the Biosolids Applications for Veris Environmental LLC. DS200423, DS200548, DS200704, DS201327, DS201402, and DS1600001. There was no public opposition. Nicholas Berryman seconded the motion, and the motion was carried unanimously. NEW BUSINESS • New Biosolids A motion was made by Linda Kautz to approve the Biosolids Application for Veris Environmental LLC DS1700001. Jim Rohn seconded the motion, and the motion was carried unanimously. There was no public opposition. A motion was made by Jim Rohn to approve the Biosolids Application for Veris Environmental LLC DS1700002. Nicholas Berryman seconded the motion, and the motion was carried unanimously. There was no public opposition. A motion was made by Tim Annable to deny the Domestic Septage New Application SS1700001 Sullivan Septic for the following reasons: 1. That alternate methods of disposal are available during cold weather months when injection or incorporation are not possible. 2. That there is adequate provision for the protection of the health, safety and welfare of the inhabitants of the neighborhood and the County. Jim Rohn seconded the motion, and the motion carried five votes to deny and two votes to approve the application. Public opposition was from Rocky Barker, Bree Lukens, Rusty DePorter, Ricky Gallegos, Linda LaCock, Chelsea Shrull, Jackie Neubauer, Bruce Ransier, Christine Schneider, Chris Neubauer, Mark Dwyer, Julie Hall, Kathryn Tolle, Willa Hintergardt, Ed Reynolds, Candi Tucker, Cheryl Braun, Bev Barris, Charles Tucker, Gene Stine, Joni Vanbeber, Phil Lukens, Monica Yoknis, Jayne Gunter, and Vicki Sims. A motion was made by Tim Annable to adjourn the meeting. Everyone seconded the motion, and the motion was carried unanimously.
