RE: APPROVE AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT FOR SERVICES AND AUTHORIZE
DIRECTOR OF HUMAN SERVICES TO SIGN - COLORADO YOUTH CORPS
ASSOCIATION
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with an Amendment to Agreement for Services
between the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the Department of Human Services, and the
Colorado Youth Corps Association, commencing upon full execution of signatures, with further
terms and conditions being as stated in said amendment, and
WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to approve said amendment, a
copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that the Amendment to Agreement for Services between the County of Weld,
State of Colorado, by and through the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf
of the Department of Human Services, and the Colorado Youth Corps Association, be and hereby
is, approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Director of Human Services, be, and
hereby is, authorized to sign said amendment.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 31st day of July, A.D., 2017.

RE: Weld County Department of Human Services' Colorado Youth
Corps Association (CYCA) Amendment to Agreement for
Services
Please review and indicate if you would like a work session prior to placing this item on the Board's agenda.
Request Board Approval of the Departments' Colorado Youth Corps Association (CYCA) Amendment
to Agreement for Services. Employment Services of Weld County (ESWC) operates the AmeriCorps program
in agreement with CYCA. In consideration of the agreement signed April 4, 2012, the Parties agree to Amend
Section 5 of the Services Agreement by deleting "the Term of this Agreement shall continue for a period of five
years" and replacing it with "the Term of this Agreement shall continue for a period of six years". All other
terms remain unchanged. The Amendment is entered once fully executed.
I do not recommend a Work Session. I recommend approval of this Amendment.

AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT FOR SERVICES
This First Amendment to Services Agreement (this "Amendment") is entered into effective
as of the date of the last signature below, by and between Colorado Youth Corps Association, a
Colorado nonprofit corporation ("CYCA"), and Weld County Youth Conservation Corps, a county
government program ("Contractor"), and amends that certain Agreement for Services, dated effective
as of April, 4, 2012 by and between CYCA and Contractor (as amended, the "Services Agreement").
CYCA and Contractor are referred to herein collectively as the "Parties," and each individually as a
"Party." Capitalized terms used herein and not otherwise defined herein have the respective
meanings given in the Services Agreement.
In consideration of the mutual benefits and agreements contained herein, the Parties agree as
follows:
1. Amendment to Term of Services Agreement. Section 5 of the Services Agreement is
hereby amended by deleting "the Term of this Agreement shall continue for a period of five
years" and replacing it with "the Term of this Agreement shall continue fora period of six
years".
2. All Other Terms Remain Unchanged. Except as expressly set forth in Section 1 above, all
other terms and conditions of the Services Agreement shall remain unchanged and unaffected
by this Amendment. The Parties hereby ratify, affirm, and assent to such remaining
unchanged terms and conditions of the Services Agreement.
3. Counterparts. This Amendment may be executed in counterparts, each of which shall be
deemed an original, but all of which shall constitute one and the same instrument. Delivery
of counterparts may be effected by means of facsimile or e-mail transmission with the same
effect as if the original copies had been delivered.
