RE: APPROVE CANCELLATION OF TAX LIEN SALE CERTIFICATES (TS CERT 2002-
0893 AND 2003-1404) FOR PARCEL #0723-03-1-25-010
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 39-11-120 C.R.S., the Board has received the request
for cancellation of two (2) Tax Lien Sale Certificates (TS CERT 2002-0893 and 2003-1404) for
parcel #0723-03-1-25-010, from the Weld County Treasurer, and
WHEREAS, the facts as set forth on the Certificate of Cancellations, marked Exhibit A to
each cancellation respectively, copies of which are attached hereto and incorporated herein by
reference, require the cancellation of TS CERTS 2002-0893 and 2003-1404, and
WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to approve said cancellation of the
Tax Lien Sale Certificates (TS CERT 2002-0893 and 2003-1404).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that the cancellation of the Tax Lien Sale Certificate (TS CERT 2002-0893 and
2003-1404), on parcel #0723-03-1-25-010, by the Weld County Treasurer, be, and hereby is,
approved.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 7th day of August, A.D., 2017.

unpaid property taxes and Special Assessment for the tax year of 2001 .
Reason for this request is as follows: A JUNIOR TAX LIEN SALE CERTIFICATE OF
PURCHASE NUMBER 2013-19780 WAS SOLD ON OCTOBER 3L 2013 TO MARK
SONDERBY. MARK SONDERBY MADE APPLICATION FOR TREASURER'S DEED AND
AT THAT TIME MARK FIRESTIEN WAS NOTIFIED AND GIVEN THE OPPORTUNITY TO
ENDORSE ALL SUBSEQUENT TAXES ONTO HIS CERTIFICATE AND MAKE
APPLICATION FOR A TREASURER'S DEED HIMSELF. MARK FIRESTIEN CHOSE NOT
TO TAKE ANY ACTION. THEREFORE, THE TREASURER'S DEED WAS ISSUED TO MARK
SONDERBY ON JULY 10, 2017.
