Home My WebLink About20173965.tiffRECORD OF PROCEEDINGS MINUTES HOUSING AUTHORITY WELD COUNTY, COLORADO NOVEMBER 27, 2017 The Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, met in regular session as the Housing Authority Board in full conformity with the laws of the State of Colorado at the regular place of meeting in the Weld County Administration Building, Greeley, Colorado, November 27, 2017, at the hour of 9:00 a.m. ROLL CALL: The meeting was called to order by the Chair and on roll call the following members were present, constituting a quorum of the members thereof: Commissioner Julie A. Cozad, Chair Commissioner Steve Moreno, Pro-Tem - EXCUSED Commissioner Sean P. Conway Commissioner Mike Freeman Commissioner Barbara Kirkmeyer - EXCUSED Also present: County Attorney, Bruce Barker Acting Clerk to the Board, Stephanie Frederick Controller, Barbara Connolly el MINUTES: Commissioner Conway moved to approve the minutes of the Housing Authority Board meeting of October 23, 2017, as printed. Commissioner Freeman seconded the motion, and it carried unanimously. NEW BUSINESS: At the request of Commissioner Conway, Tom Teixeira, Executive Director of the Greeley -Weld Housing Authority, gave an update following a previous work session and explained they are assisting Habitat for Humanity in which they will build homes for low income people. He stated they are requesting $200,000.00 to purchase the lots for the homes and there are County funds of $120,000.00. He stated he is hopeful with receiving the information the State will release $80,000.00. In response to Commissioner Conway, Mr. Teixeira stated there is a revolving loan of $50,000.00 available for persons who meet the income guidelines and have homes in the area that need rehabilitated. Chair Cozad reported she has a meeting set up with Cheri Witt -Brown, Habitat for Humanity of Greeley, to discuss Hill -N -Park and will contact Mr. Teixeira. 2017-3965 BC0016 Let the minutes reflect that the above and foregoing actions were attested to and respectfully submitted by the Acting Clerk to the Board.
