MEMORANDUM
J/ TO: Board of County Commissioners
DATE: March 3, 2017
FROM: Jim Flesher, Transportation Planner
SUBJECT: Memorandum of Agreement between Weld County and
the Upper Front Range Regional Planning Commission
The attached Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between the County and the Upper Front Range Regional
Planning Commission (UFRRPC) was requested by the Colorado Department of Transportation in order to
have a formal agreement stating the County will act as support staff to the UFRRPC (for example, sending
out agendas and taking minutes for quarterly meetings) and act as grantee (for example, for Congestion
Mitigation and Air Quality (CMAQ) grants), which the County has done for many years. The County
Attorney's Office has reviewed the MOA, which was provided to the BOCC in a pass -around in December.
The UFRRPC approved the MOA at its March 2, 2017 meeting.
I am available to answer any questions you may have.
