RE: ELECTION OF ACTING CHAIR PRO-TEM OF THE BOARD FOR JUNE 12 AND 14,
2017
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 3-5(1) of the Weld County Home Rule Charter, the Board
of County Commissioners shall elect, at its first meeting in January of each year, a Chair Pro -Tern
of the Board, and
WHEREAS, on motion duly made and seconded, Commissioner Barbara Kirkmeyer was
unanimously elected as Acting Chair Pro -Tern of the Board for June 12 and 14, 2017, in the
absence of the duly elected Chair and Chair Pro -tern.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that Commissioner Kirkmeyer be, and hereby is, elected to serve as Acting
Chair Pro -Tern of the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, for the meetings
of June 12 and 14, 2017.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Acting Chair Pro-Tem be, and hereby
is, authorized and directed to sign, in the absence of the Chair, and Chair Pro-Tem, all legal
documents on behalf of the Weld County Commissioners and for the County of Weld, also any
document wherein the statutes require only the signature of the Chair of the Board, attested to by
the Clerk to the Board.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 12th day of June, A.D., 2017.
