RE: INSTALLATION OF TEMPORARY 45 MILE PER HOUR SPEED LIMIT SIGNS
ON SIX (6) WELD COUNTY ROADS WHICH CROSS INTERSTATE 25 .
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Colorado State Highway Department has requested
that Weld County install temporary 45 mile per hour speed limit
signs on six (6) Weld County Roads which cross Interstate 25.
Said signs are to be installed in connection with repairs to be
done by said Colorado State Highway Department, and
WHEREAS, the six (6) Weld County Roads on which said signs
are to be installed are Weld County Roads 28 , 32 , 34 , 38, 44 and
46, as evidenced by the attached sketch, and
WHEREAS, said signs shall be installed prior to the commence-
ment of said repair work and shall be removed after the repair
work is completed, and
WHEREAS, the Weld County Department of Engineering Services
recommends that said signs be installed to insure safety to the
traveling public.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commis-
sioners of Weld County, Colorado that the Department of Engineering
Services is directed to install the 45 miles per hour speed limit
signs on Weld County Roads as evidenced by the attached sketch for
safety to the traveling public and that said signs must conform
to the State Manual and specifications .
The above and foregoing Resolution was , on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 28th day of
February, A.D. , 1979.

COLORADO From Wayne S. Smyth, Weld County Engineer
Subject: Temporary Installation of 45 M.P.H. Signs
The State Highway Department has requested the County to install
temporary 45 mile per hour speed limit signs on six (6) County
roads crossing I-25 in connection with major repairs this summer.
The locations are as shown on the attached sketch.
I recommend that a resolution be adopted for the temporary signs.
After the job is complete, we can reuse the (11) signs elsewhere.
