WHEREAS, in compliance with Section 1-6-115, C.R.S., election judges are not employees of Weld County and this change in payment method does not affect this classification. WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to change the method of payment for election judges from daily to hourly and to set the hourly pay for election judges at fifteen dollars ($15.00) per hour and for supervising election judges at seventeen dollars and fifty cents ($17.50) per hour to approximately match the current allowable daily rate of the above stated judges. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the method of payment for elections judges for Weld County be, and hereby is, approved, to be paid at the hourly rate of fifteen ($15.00) dollars per hour and that supervising election judges for Weld County be paid at the hourly rate of seventeen dollars and fifty cents ($17.50) per hour during an election. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that this order shall be effective upon the date of approval of this Resolution and shall continue in full force until further resolution of the Board regarding election judge compensation. cc.t GRCRSf Cfc), HRCPR) U1! 7/ 17 2017-3563 CR0029 RE: SETTING THE AMOUNT OF COMPENSATION FOR ELECTION JUDGES PAGE 2 The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 16th day of October, A.D., 2017.
