RE: Notice of Public Meeting - Annexation and Zoning for the Knott Family Annexation, the Lanz
Family Annexation, the Hurt Family Annexation and the Mitchell Family Annexation - Board of
Trustees - 7:00 p.m., Monday, January 30, 2017.
Gentlemen:
Please be advised that a public meeting before the Mead Board of Trustees has been set to review and
consider the annexation and zoning of portions of the SW/4 of Sec. 10, Twn. 3 N, R68W of the 6th P.M., County of
Weld, State of Colorado, and portions of the SW/4 of Sec. 22, Twn. 3 N, R68W of the 6th P.M., County of Weld,
State of Colorado.
The Knott Family Annexation consists of approximately 0.89 acres, located at the northeast corner of ls`
Street and Welker Avenue (WCR 34). The property is owned by Shane S. Knott. Zoning for the property will be
changed from AG Agricultural in Weld County to AG Agricultural in the Town of Mead. The property is been
surrounded by the Town of Mead for more than 3 years.
The Lanz Family Annexation consists of approximately 5.0 acres, located east of 3`d Street and north of State
Highway 66. The property is owned by Elizabeth Lanz. Zoning for the property will be changed from AG Agricultural
in Weld County to Highway Commercial (HC) with Planned Unit Development (PUD) and Highway Development
(HDDO) Overlay Zones in the Town of Mead. The property is been surrounded by the Town of Mead for more than 3
years.
The Hurt Family Annexation consists of approximately 1.62 acres, located east of 3`d Street and south of
Adams Avenue (WCR 32). The property is owned by the Hurt Family Revocable Trust. Zoning for the property will
be changed from AG Agricultural in Weld County to Residential Single Family -4 (RSF-4) in the Town of Mead. The
property is been surrounded by the Town of Mead for more than 3 years.
The Mitchell Family Annexation consists of approximately 2.84 acres, located east of 3rd Street and south of
Adams Avenue (WCR 32). The property is owned by Michael J. Mitchell. Zoning for the property will be changed
from AG Agricultural in Weld County to Residential Single Family -4 (RSF-4) in the Town of Mead. The property is
been surrounded by the Town of Mead for more than 3 years.
In accordance with Sec. 16-8-40, of the Mead Municipal Code, this notice has been sent to the owners of
property within 300 feet of the proposed annexation.
Attached is a copy of the published public meeting notice. You have previously received a copy of the
Resolution Finding Substantial Compliance with C.R.S. §31-12-106 and Initiating Annexation Proceedings, a location
map for the properties and a zoning map. Copies of the full application, as well as the full-sized maps submitted with
the application are available for review in the Mead Town Hall, 441 - 3rd Street, Mead, Colorado. Written comments

NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING
MEAD BOARD OF TRUSTEES
THE KNOTT FAMILY ANNEXATION, THE LANZ FAMILY ANNEXATION, THE HURT
FAMILY ANNEXATION AND THE MITCHELL FAMILY ANNEXATION
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Trustees of the Town of Mead has adopted a
Resolution of Substantial Compliance initiating annexation proceedings for "The Knott Family Annexation,
the Lanz Family Annexation, the Hurt Family Annexation and the Mitchell Family Annexation," said
Annexations being enclaves within the boundaries of the Town of Mead.
The Board of Trustees of the Town of Mead will consider the proposed annexations during the
regular meeting of the Board of Trustees commencing at 7:00 p.m., Monday, January 30, 2017, at the
Mead Town Hall, 441 - 3`d Street, Mead, Colorado 80542, for the purpose of determining whether the
properties proposed to be annexed meet the applicable requirements of the statutes of the State of
Colorado and are eligible for annexation by ordinance, and to establish the appropriate land uses for the
properties.
Any person may appear at the Public Hearing and be heard regarding the matters under
consideration.
Copies of the petition and supporting material submitted to the Town are on file and available for
public inspection in the Office of the Town Clerk, at the Mead Town Hall, 441 - 3`d Street, Mead, Colorado
80542.
