RE : AUTHORIZATION OF CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
TO EXECUTE LETTER OF AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE WELD COUNTY SHERIFF
AND THE COLORADO AIR NATIONAL GUARD FOR SECURITY SERVICE.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, are vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, a letter of agreement has been entered into by and
between the office of the Weld County Sheriff and the Colorado
Air National Guard for providing the Colorado Air Guard' s unit
located East of Greeley, Colorado with certain security service
by the Weld County Sheriff ' s Office, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado deem it advisable to direct the Chairman of the Board
of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado to execute said
letter of agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado that the Chairman of the
Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado execute
the letter of agreement between the Weld County Sheriff ' s Office
and the Colorado Air National Guard which provides for certain
security service to be provided the Colorado Air National Guard
by the Weld County Sheriff ' s Office.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 9th day of
March, A.D. , 1977.
The above and foregoing Resolution was read into the record
and signed on the 16th day of March, A.D. , 1977 .

LETTER OF AGREEMENT
1. PURPOSE: This agreement establishes areas, responsibilities
and procedures to accomplish an effective standard physical
security of USAF resources during non-duty days/hours of the
138th Tactical Control Flight (FACP-H) , COLORADO AIR NATIONAL
GUARD, Greeley ANG Station, Greeley, Colorado 80631.
2. AREA: 6. 72 acres , east of the City of Greeley, located
three miles east of U. S. highway 85 (by-pass) on Colorado
highway 93 and adjacent to the Weld County Municipal Airport.
ADDRESS: 2605 last 8th Street, Greeley, Colorado 80631.
3. RESPONSIBILITIES AND PROCEDURES:
a. Commander, 138th Tactical Control Flight will :
(1) Protect United States Government property under
his jurisdiction.
(2) Provide a suitable communications link with
the Weld County Sheriff' s Department for proper notification
of loss , unauthorized penetration, damage, or destruction.
(3) Provide the Weld County Sheriff' s Department with
a schedule of Unit Training Assemblies (UTAs) , and civilian
work schedule.
b. Weld County Sheriff' s Department will AGREE TO:
(1) Provide the patrolling security personnel with
24-hour point of radio contact. The 24-hour point of radio
contact must be capable of alerting or calling the commander,
138th Tactical Control Flight.
(2) Provide 24-hour armed response during all non-
duty days/hours.
(3) Apprehend, hold, or arrest person(s) involved in
theft, unauthorized penetration, damage or destruction.
