RE: APPROVE CANCELLATION OF POSSESSORY INTEREST LEASE (ACCOUNT
R8941788)
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board has received one (1) Possessory Interest Lease (Account
R8941788), from the Weld County Treasurer, and
WHEREAS, the facts as set forth on the Possessory Interest Lease, marked Exhibit A, a
copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, require the cancellation
of the Possessory Interest Lease (Account R8941788), and
WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to approve the cancellation of the
Possessory Interest Lease (Account R8941788) for the property described above.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that the cancellation of the Possessory Interest Lease (Account R8941788),
by the Weld County Treasurer, be, and hereby is, approved.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 26th day of April, A.D., 2017.

MEMO TO: WELD COUNTY BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS,
As the Weld County Treasurer, State of Colorado, I request authorization by resolution to write off the taxes related
to this account pursuant to CRS I"39-10-114".
The reason for this request is as follows: The taxes placed on this property for Possessory Interest Lease needs to be
canceled because the business is not located at 916 10t Street, Greeley CO 80631. Per a physical inspection this
building has been demolished and no longer exists. Therefore, these taxes are non -collectable.
The assessor's office has removed the Possessory Interest Lease assessment from the tax roll for 2016.
