RE: APPROVE CREATION OF HUMAN SERVICES ADVISORY COMMISSION
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners deems it advisable to combine the Human
Services Board (HSB) with the Families, Youth and Children (FYC) Commission and create the
Weld County Human Services Advisory Commission (HSAC) to serve in an advisory capacity to
the Department of Human Services and the multiple human services programs that are funded
through State and County sources, and
WHEREAS, the bylaws of the Human Services Advisory Commission were presented to
the Board of Weld County Commissioners and approved by Resolution #2017-3403 on October 2,
2017.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that the Human Services Advisory Commission, be, and hereby, created.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 18th day of December, A.D., 2017.
