While we recognize that the performance of the Council has been spotty at times , the importance of having this oversight group is clearly demonstrated by the two audits that they have commissioned for the County Clerk and Recorder as well as the Board itself. Whatever the outcome of the audits , good government requires that oversight such as this must be possible . Therefore , we ask that you immediately and completely reject this proposal , and instead express your support of the Council through an appropriate resolution .
