Box 758 Greeley, CO, 08632-0758 RE: EIAF 08360 Weld County Road 390 Paving Phase 2 - Funding Source Correction Dear Commissioner Cozad: RECEIVED MAY 10 2017 WELD COUNTY COMMISSIONERS The Department of Local Affairs granted an award for $200,000 on April 27, 2017 for the above referenced project. Originally, the award in question was granted out of Federal Mineral Lease funds. After further review, we realized we inadvertently assigned your award out of Federal Mineral Lease funds which will impact the amount you receive through payment in lieu of taxes (PILT) funds. To ensure PILT is not impacted by this grant, the award amount of $200,000 will now be from state severance tax proceeds, which may cause you to go to election to receive and spend them. You should confer with your legal and budget advisors to determine if such an election is necessary. Please keep a copy of this letter for your records. Please contact your DOLA Regional Manager, Don Sandoval, at (970) 679-4501 for information on how to proceed. Expenditure of State funds prior to the contract being fully executed cannot be included in the contract budget or reimbursed by the State. Per our program guidelines this offer is valid for one year from the date of this letter. I wish you success with your project. Sincerely, cc: John Cooke, State Senator Dave Young, State Representative Barbara Connolly, Controller Don Sandoval, DOLA Governor John W.
