Weld County Department of Public Health and Environment Second Floor Hearing Room 210 The Weld County Board of Health met April 25, 2017, at 9:00 a.m. in the Second Floor Hearing Room of the Weld County Department of Public Health and Environment. Those present included: Board Members: Jason Maxey, Chair; Joyce Smock, Vice Chair; Jim Rohn, Linda Kautz, Tim Annable. Others: Katie Sall, Environmental Health Services, (WCDPH&E); Debbie Drew, Director of Public Health Education and Nursing, WCDPH&E); Annette O'Dell, Public Health Education and Nursing, WCDPH&E); Kelly Campbell, Supervisor, Health Communication, Education and Planning (WCDPH&E); Olga Gonzalez, Health Communication, Education and Planning (WCDPH&E); Lauren Light, Manager, Environmental Health Services, (WCDPH&E). APPROVAL OF AGENDA A motion was made by Linda Kautz to approve the agenda with the change of moving the Consent Items first under #3 Business. Tim Annable seconded the motion, and the motion was carried unanimously. APPROVAL OF MINUTES A motion was made by Tim Annable to approve the April 25, 2017, minutes with the correction on SS1700001 Sullivan Septic #2 to read there is inadequate provision for the protection of the health, safety, and welfare of the inhabitants of the neighborhood and the County. Joyce Smock seconded the motion, and the motion was carried unanimously. BUSINESS CONSENT ITEMS A motion was made by Linda Kautz to approve Biosolids Applications for McDonald Farms Enterprises DS201306 and Metro Wastewater Reclamation District D5200808, DS200510, DS200616, DS200516. Jim Rohn seconded the motion, and the motion was carried unanimously. There was no public comment. BIOSOLIDS NEW A motion was made by Jim Rohn to approve Biosolids Application for Veris Environmental Inc. DS170003 with Condition #7 stricken from Staff recommendations. Joyce Smock seconded the motion, and the motion carried with five votes yes to approve the application. There was no public comment. A motion was made by Linda Kautz to approve Biosolids Application for Veris Environmental Inc. DS170006. Joyce Smock seconded the motion, and the motion was carried unanimously. There was no public comment. A motion was made by Joyce Smock to approve Biosolids Application for Veris Environmental Inc. DS170007. Jim Rohn seconded the motion, and the motion was carried unanimously. There was no public comment. DOMESTIC SEPTAGE RENEWALS A motion was made by Joyce Smock to approve Domestic Septage Renewal Application for McDonald Farms SS150001 and SS150004. Linda Kautz seconded the motion, and the motion was carried unanimously. There was no public comment. Linda Kautz seconded the motion, and the motion was carried unanimously. There was no public comment. PRESENTATIONS Annette O'Dell, spoke about the Family Planning and Sexually Transmitted Infection Programs. She spoke about the services provide for both programs. Clients are charged according to a sliding fee scale. Olga Gonzalez, Health Communication, Education and Planning Coordinator spoke about a program called Cooking Matters which started in 1994 at the Health Department. This program teaches families how to plan and prepare healthy meals. A motion was made by Linda Kautz to adjourn the meeting. Joyce Smock seconded the motion, and the motion was carried unanimously.
