RE: ESTABLISH PETTY CASH FUND AT WELD COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board has received a request that a Petty Cash Fund, in the amount of
$50.00, be established for the Weld County Sheriff's Office, and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Administration and the Controller have
recommended approval of said request, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, deems it
advisable and in the best interests of Weld County to approve said request.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that the Controller, be, and hereby is, authorized to establish a Petty Cash
Fund for the Weld County Sheriff's Office, in the amount of $50.00.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 29th day of March, A.D., 2017.

We are planning to open the Fort Lupton substation to the public on April 3rd 2017. We will need
petty cash for the front counter to make change for the customers. I am requesting $50.00 to start
