HomeMy WebLinkAbout790968.tiff RESOLUTION RE: DENIAL OF TAX ABATEMENT PETITION - LEO B. GOTTIER AND EILEEN J. GOTTIER. WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS, pursuant to Colorado Revised Statutes 39-1-113, 1973, as amended, a hearing was held on the 16th day of April, 1979, on the petition of Leo B. Gottier and Eileen J. Gottier, and WHEREAS, at such hearing, H. H. Hansen, Weld County Assessor, was present, and WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, has considered the petition and the evidence presented, and does find that the assessment for Leo B. Gottier and Eileen J. Gottier was proper, and therefore should not be abated for the calendar years 1977 and 1978, due to the change in law to put mobile homes on ad valorem for year 1978 . NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Com- missioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the tax abatement peti- tion of Leo B. Gottier and Eileen J. Gottier be, and hereby is, denied. The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 16th day of April, A.D. , 1979. The valuation on improvements for 1977 was 1710.00. The 1978 taxes are listed at ;176. 78 and the 7977 taxes were only 1;47.90 and yet the assessor states there is no change in assessed value. I believe that due to the fact that there was no change of valuation card sent out last June and that the valuation was in- creased from ` 710.00 to 'k2140.00 and the taxes increased from ' -F7.90 to "4176,78 that there was an increase in valuation and an increase in taxes.
