RE: APPROVE ATTESTATION STATEMENT OF ADEQUATE BUDGET FUNDING FOR
COLORADO WORKS PROGRAM AND COLORADO CHILD CARE ASSISTANCE
PROGRAM AND AUTHORIZE DIRECTOR OF HUMAN SERVICES TO SIGN
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with an Attestation Statement of Adequate
Budget Funding for the Colorado Works Program and Colorado Child Care Assistance Program,
from the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of County Commissioners
of Weld County, on behalf of the Weld County Department of Human Services, to the Colorado
Department of Human Services, commencing August 1, 2017, with further terms and conditions
being as stated in said attestation statement, and
WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to approve and accept said
attestation statement, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that the Attestation Statement of Adequate Budget Funding for the Colorado
Works Program and Colorado Child Care Assistance Program, from the County of Weld, State of
Colorado, by and through the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the
Weld County Department of Human Services, to the Colorado Department of Human Services,
be and hereby is, approved and accepted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Director of Human Services be, and
hereby is, authorized to sign said attestation statement.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 2nd day of August, A.D., 2017, nunc pro tunc August 1, 2017.

RE: Weld County Department of Human Services' SFY2017 Budget
and Attestation Letter
Please review and indicate if you would like a work session prior to placing this item on the Board's agenda.
NOTE: This is a time -sensitive request. The attestation letter must be submitted with Director signature by
August 1, 2017, along with the County FY2017 County Budget.
Request Board Approval of the Departments' Request for Director signature on Attestation Letter
(attached) and submission of FY2017 County Budget. The Colorado Department of Human Services (CDHS)
requires counties to submit an attestation letter (attached), by August 1, 2017, to the Colorado Department of
Human Services (CDHS), along with the County's approved SFY2017 budget. The letter attests that the County
has adequate funding for the required County's maintenance of effort for the Colorado Works Program and the
Colorado Child Care Assistance Program.
I do not recommend a Work Session. I recommend approval of Director signature and submission of the
attestation letter with the budget by August 1, 2017.

Dear County Director:
As part of receiving the annual allocations provided herein, the County Department of Weld attests that its County
budget includes adequate funding for the County's maintenance of effort for the Colorado Works Program (Section
26-2-714(6), C.R.S.) and the Colorado Child Care Assistance Program (Section 26-2-804, C.R.S.).
Please submit a copy of your FY 2017 County budget along with this signed attestation to cdhsaudits@state.co.us by
August 1, 2017. If you have questions related to your County maintenance of effort or your County allocations,
please reach out to the appropriate program contact below.
