Dear Mayor Melendez,
This is a letter of support for the Town of Windsor's Tier I Energy Impact Assistance Grant
application to the Department of Local Affairs for the preliminary design for the future construction
of Crossroads Boulevard from State Highway 257 to WCR 23. As indicated at our meeting on
July 12, 2017, the Board of Weld County Commissioners unanimously agreed to contribute $60,000
towards the local match of this grant.
The Board of Weld County Commissioners supports this grant application and project because we
believe this roadway will serve as a regional route and is crucial to the success of the surrounding
municipalities. The project also improves the ability of Great Western Industrial Park to attract new
business to the region.
