RE: APPROVE APPOINTMENTS TO WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT BOARD
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the terms for certain positions on the Workforce Development Board will soon
expire, and
WHEREAS, it has been recommended that Chris Garcia be appointed to said Board as
the Education Representative to replace Ashley Valenzuela-Ruesgen, with a term to expire
December 31, 2018, and
WHEREAS, it has been recommended that Bob Grand be appointed to said Board as a
Small Business Representative, with a term to expire December 31, 2019, and
WHEREAS, it has been recommended that Dwight Steele be appointed to said Board as
a Workforce Representative, with a term to expire December 31, 2017.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that Chris Garcia, Bob Grand, and Dwight Steele be, and hereby are,
appointed to the Workforce Development Board, all with terms to expire as stated above.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 5th day of April, A.D., 2017.
