Thanks, Patti Dallarosa (303)8183931 https://youtu. be/ojyTgGBV-80 Sent from my iPhone 1 1 Weld County Planning Commission Meeting Tuesday, September 5, 2017 USR17-0035 Vintage Motorcycles 2181 County Road 10, Erie, CO 80516 First, I would like to thank the Planning Commission for the opportunity to explain what I do for a living and why, and for your consideration for approval so that I can bring my business, Vintage Motorcycles, into compliance with Weld County zoning regulations, Second, I would like to thank Staff for all of their help in understanding the process and in completing the application. Also, I would like to thank my wife for making sure my application was correct and submitted, as required. Let me show you a video that shows what I do. (Jay Leno's Garage video) My whole life has been devoted to preserving the history of motorcycles and motorcycling. I do not make a lot of money —this is a passion for me. I am a small one -person business. There is essentially no customer traffic as most of my customers are out-of-state and out -of -country. The motorcycles I work on do not come and go from my property under their own power. If they come from another country, I will pick up the crate at customs out at the airport. If they are from this country, I use my enclosed trailer to pick them up in Denver at the shipping company, and when done, they go out the same way. I work on maybe 2 — 5 motorcycles a year, The two bikes you see me with at the front of the packet took almost a year each to finish. They were started and run for maybe 30 minutes each before being taken to the Concours, so noise is simply not a problem. Two years ago I restored a vintage racing motorcycle that was loud, so to start it up and get it running, I took it down the road to the Colorado National Speedway, where the owner lets me use the track, during the week when it is unused. There is no painting or plating done on site, so there are no fumes or hazardous waste The cleaner that I use to clean old parts is non-toxic and biodegradable; basically, a step above Simple Green in strength. I have a secure small metal shed behind the shop where I keep a 5 gallon gas can and my cleaning products. Most of my work is not in the shop, but on the computer, looking for used and new parts for restoration projects. in addition to complete restorations of motorcycles, I buy and sell motorcycle parts on the Internet. I buy parts I need for restorations, so UPS & Fed Esc come once or twice a week for parts I have purchased. As I sell parts, once a week I package them up and take them to the shipping center, to avoid the additional charge for pick-up. Throughout this process, I have heard many times about how my business needs to be `compatible' with the surrounding land uses, so let me speak about some of the USRs within 1 mile of me: I.
