This is to request supplemental grant fund- or rehabilitation
work required to complete the construction schedule of
Mr. and Mrs . Tony/Ramona Ruiz, 445 Dunmire Street, Evanston,
Colorado. The clients rehabilitation work was estimated
and bidded at $4, 878.00 which was approved by you on ----
November 9 , 1977. cc, p4A-L T4- \ --
However, once construction work began by the selected
contractor extreme and serious structural deficiencies were
uncovered. Through inspections conducted by the Building
Inspectors and the Housing Staff these deficiencies re-
presented a threat and hazard to the life of the occupants
and any work performed in the premises would have proved
less than adequate to meet the Property Rehabilitation
Standards (PRS) or any of the County Building Code and the
Uniform Building Code requirements.
Supplement funds to the original grant amount reflect a
50% increase, i .e. , 4 878 00, $1, 946.00 supplemental
funds, however, the aggregate amountdo not exceed the
maxirum grant amount ($7, 500) allowable to grant recipients
under the program.
Your review and consideration is greatly appreciated.
