I completed a site visit with property owner Chris Friede on the morning of May 5, 2017. The facility is currently proposed to host outdoor -only events, using the open space within the "L" formed by the former dairy barn, west of the primary residence. There is sufficient emergency vehicle access to the property. A fire hydrant is located nearby at the SW corner of County Road 15 and County Road 56. The property owner has been advised that she should prepare an emergency plan for the facility. The property owner has been advised that any modifications of existing buildings, change of use of existing buildings, or addition of new buildings will require submittal for appropriate building permits from both Weld County and Front Range Fire Rescue. At this point in time, the International Fire Code does not require any additional modifications or installation of fire protection systems. Thanks again for taking the time to meet with me this morning to bring me up to speed on your USR request that has been submitted to Weld County. I have attached a letter with final comments from Front Range Fire Rescue (FRFR). We talked about the need for an emergency plan for your facility. If you would like any input or review from FRFR, please let me know. I'd be happy to lend a hand. Based on your current plans for outdoor events, there are no additional fire code requirements that need to be implemented at this time. Please be sure to apply for building permits should your facility use change in the future. Thank you! Ty Ty Drage Life Safety Chief/Fire Marshal Front Range Fire Rescue Authority P.O.
