WHEREAS, on December 22, 1975, a request was made
by Judge Donald A. Carpenter for renovation of the second
floor, County Court House, and
WHEREAS, at the request of the Board of County
Commissioners, further cost breakdowns of the additional
renovation work, as outlined in the letter, dated December 22 ,
1975, attached hereto and made a part hereof for ready reference,
has been obtained, and
WHEREAS, after due consideration, the Board believes
it to be in the best interests of the County to authorize
expending twenty thousand one hundred ninety eight dollars
($20,198 . 00) on the items listed in the cost summary, with
the exception of items two and nine (jury back screen in County
Court and bronze plaque) .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the County Finance
Office be, and it hereby is authorized to expend from the County
General Account, twenty thousand one hundred ninety eight dollars
($20 ,198 . 00) , as hereinabove described.
The above and foregoing resolution was , on motion
duly made and seconded, adopted by the following vote this
18th day of February, A. D. , 1976.

of the additional renovation work, as outlined in our letter of
December 22, 1975.

complete.

2. Jury back screen in County Court

3. Paneling and chair rail in Judge's $ 2,001.00
Chamber (District Court Area)
4. Ceiling trim in Judge's Chamber $ 669.00
(District Court Area)
5. Additional ceiling trim in the $ 2,579.00
District Court
6. Repainting of existing doors and $ 428.00
frames to match color of (new)
millwork.
7. Jury chairs (12 total) in Judge Behrman's $ 2,807.00

Dear Judge Carpenter,
It is my understanding that you have had the opportunity to review
the proposed law enforcement complex concerning the adult male and
female holding facilities and the juvenile male and female holding
facilities and that you are in total agreement and support of the
architectural and engineering proposals regarding the type and
operation of the facility. I understand also that you find its
location next to the Courthouse desirable and proposed access of
the courts to the facility excellent.
Please respond to me by letter at your earliest convenience regarding
the above ccmnents and a definite indication of your approval of the
facility as proposed.
