The Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety renewed Mining Permit No. C-1981-028
for the Keenesburg Strip Mine on September 23, 2017, allowing coal mining and reclamation
operations to continue under the provisions of the Colorado Surface Coal Mining Reclamation Act
of 1979. The permit was issued to Coors Energy Company, P.O. Box 467, Golden, CO 80402,
(303) 927-3648, for their mining operation located in Weld County, approximately 7 miles North of
Keenesburg, Colorado. The permit area is further described as follows:
Township 3 North, Range 64 West
Sections 25 and 36
