MONDAY MARCH 27, 2017
WHEREAS, the Dayspring Christian Academy Eagles attended the CHSAA 2A
State Volleyball Championship at the Denver Coliseum on November 12, 2016,
and
WHEREAS, the Dayspring Volleyball Team defeated Yuma High School to win the
2A state title, and
WHEREAS, the Dayspring Volleyball Team finished out their season
having won 29 games and the state 2A title, and
WHEREAS, the Dayspring Volleyball Team was also league champions, district
and regional champions, and made school history as the first lady's team to win
a state title, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners is proud of the accomplishment
of the Dayspring Volleyball Team and congratulates them for their incredible
season and state title.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT PROCLAIMED by the Board of County Commissioners
of Weld County, Colorado, that in recognition of the Dayspring Volleyball Team,
that Monday, March 27, 2017, be known as Dayspring Eagles Day.
