Subject: Street name change in Highland Hills
Some time ago I was asked my opinion about changing a street
name in Highland Hills .
Joe Needham, doing the rural addressing for Mountain Bell ,
would like to have the name change made to simplify the ad-
dressing and make it easier for the utilities , fire districts ,
etc. , to locate each address. I informed him that in my
opinion I thought it would take a replat or some kind of a
recorded instrument to make the name change legal as the re-
corded plat as now filed definitely names the street .
I would suggest that if this name change is pursued some kind
of a hearing should be held as there seems to be pros and cons
on this as evidenced by the attached petitions .
At your convenience I would be happy to explain this to you in
more detail with maps and also explain about the telephone calls
I have received.

Gentlemen,
Pursuant to my telephone conversation with Mr. Olson on August 18,
my neighbors and I want to advise that we are against the renaming
of Fairway Lane to the proposed 58th Avenue.
ie feel that Fairway Lane designates our location far better than
any numbered street could and as it has been platted as Fairway Lane
for 15 years it would seem consistant to not change it as this time.
A petition which was circulated last week did not fully disclose the
issues involved and we ask that you set this aside in vies of the
number of people located on this street who prefer it to remain as
platted.

We the undersigned residents and property owners residing in t p Nty
know as Second Addition to Highland Hills, Weld County, Colorado do epanntegt
hereby petition the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado to approve the change of names for the following roads in
Highland Hills. 1 ) Fairway Lane from W. 20th Street on the North
to the Cul De Sac stopping at Lot 5, Block 18 of Second Addition to
Highland Hills to be designated 57th Avenue. , 2) That portion of
Fairway Lane beginning at 59th Avenue and proceeding east to Lot 39,
Block 19, Second Addition to Highland Hills be designated W. 20th St.
Rd. , and 3) That portion of Fairway Lane beginning at the above
described road and proceeding south to the intersection of West 24th
Avenue be designated 58th Avenue.
The above requested designations are requested so that the roads de-
scribed will conform to the City of Greeley street designations. See
attached plat for exact location of roads.
