Dear Mrs. Hannah -Ruh:
I am writing to express the support and continued desire of the Weld County Department of Human
Services to collaborate with Promises for Children -United Way of Weld County, for the purposes of
Early Childhood Council Systems Building and Colorado Shines Quality Improvement Request for
Application. As you know, Weld County is committed to collaborating with Promises for Children -
United Way of Weld County (Promises) and Weld County's Early Childhood Council. This
collaboration includes building upon the great work that Promises has accomplished in systems
building with public and private partnerships, and supporting effective delivery of early childhood
services in the areas of early care and education, family support, mental health, and health.
Weld County is committed to working hand in hand with Promises to improve the quality of care
delivered in home, center and school -age settings. This commitment includes partnering in the
delivery of services that improves infant and toddler quality and availability, school readiness, and
targeted quality improvements authorized by Colorado State Statute, Rules and Regulations.
In conclusion, we support the efforts of Weld County's Early Childhood Council and are committed
to helping increase the capacity and quality of child care providers in Weld County.
