RE: APPOINTMENT OF THE WELD COUNTY CORONER
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 6-1 of the Weld County Home Rule Charter,
effective January 1, 2003, the County Coroner shall be appointed by the Board of Weld County
Commissioners, and
WHEREAS, Carl Blesch fulfills all of the requirements of said Section 6-1 and Colorado
statutes, and
WHEREAS, the Board desires to appoint Carl Blesch as the Weld County Coroner to
replace Mark Ward.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Weld County Commissioners
hereby appoints Carl Blesch as the Weld County Coroner, effective January 3, 2017, to replace
Mark Ward, with said appointment to continue to and until the Board of County Commissioners
decides that such appointment shall end.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted by
the following vote on the 11th day of January, A.D., 2017, nunc pro tunc January 3, 2017.
