Dear Review Committee,
The Weld County Youth Conservation Corps (WCYCC) is pleased to partner with the Town of Frederick on a
Great Outdoors Colorado Grant. Through varying levels of service. WCYCC will work alongside project, and
town personnel. to create a needed skate park while simultaneously supporting the development of employment
related skills of young adults serving with ti'CYCC.
It is the primary goal of the Weld County Youth Conservation Corps to provide the necessary labor and
equipment to assist in the preparation of the skate park site. as well as assist with landscaping and beautification
tasks upon the completion of construction. Through the planning process. WCYCC committed to two weeks of
paid service at 56.300 per week or a total of 51 2.600. The Weld County Youth Conservation Corps will
provide a minimum of 320 hours of service per week through the work of a six (6) to eight (8) member crew. In
addition to the paid weeks of service, the Weld County Youth Conservation Corps will provide an additional
week of service to be used as match or in -kind for this grant valued at 56.300.00.
The Weld County Youth Conservation Corps looks forward to strengthening partnerships through this GOCO
initiative. The community of Frederick will benefit from the creation of an additional outdoor space for their
expanding rural community. The opportunity for WCYCC to contribute to this collaborative project is
invaluable and long-lasting for the young adults serving as a member of WCYCC.
Sincerely.
