Dear Chairman Billings :
Pursuant to your request of February 4, 1976, we have
researched the minutes of the Weld County Home Rule Charter
Commission to determine if a motion was made authorizing
the publication of an informational booklet on the Charter.
A thorough review was made of all the minutes. The only
reference to the booklets was found in the minutes of the
last official meeting, June 26, 1975 , which states :
"Chairman Johnson asked for volunteers to serve on a
committee to write a booklet explaining the Charter. "
To specifically answer your inquiry, according to the
minutes a motion was not made in reference to the booklets.
However, due to the brievity of this topic in the minutes,
the tape of said meeting was reviewed. To properly famil-
iarize yourselves with the circumstances regarding this is-
sue, we recommend that you listen to Home Mule Tape #39 .
We believe that this satisfactorily fulfills our assign-
ment.
