Home My WebLink About20171565.tiffRECORD OF PROCEEDINGS MINUTES HOUSING AUTHORITY WELD COUNTY, COLORADO MAY 22, 2017 The Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, met in regular session as the Housing Authority Board in full conformity with the laws of the State of Colorado at the regular place of meeting in the Weld County Administration Building, Greeley, Colorado, May 22, 2017, at the hour of 9:00 a.m. ROLL CALL: The meeting was called to order by the Chair and on roll call the following members were present, constituting a quorum of the members thereof: Commissioner Julie A. Cozad, Chair Commissioner Steve Moreno, Pro -Tern Commissioner Sean P. Conway Commissioner Mike Freeman Commissioner Barbara Kirkmeyer Also present: County Attorney, Bruce Barker Acting Clerk to the Board, Amanda Petzold Controller, Barbara Connolly MINUTES: Commissioner Conway moved to approve the minutes of the Housing Authority Board meeting of April 24, 2017, as printed. Commissioner Moreno seconded the motion, and it carried unanimously. Chair Cozad reported she and Commissioner Conway went to the Town of Dacono for a presentation by Habitat for Humanity, and they took a tour of The Glens in Dacono. She commented on all the work Habitat for Humanity is completing in the Town of Dacono, and reported the Board is supportive of the project. Commissioner Conway stated he is glad Tom Teixeira, Executive Director of the Greeley -Weld Housing Authority, will be present at the next meeting in Dacono to find out what role the Greeley -Weld Housing Authority can take to aid the project. Commissioner Moreno questioned if the new house being built is for a Veteran, and Mr. Teixeira stated he will find out.
