RE: INSTALLATION OF "STOP" SIGNS ON 5TH STREET ROAD AT ITS
INTERSECTION WITH COUNTY ROAD NO. 43.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Weld County Department of Engineering Services
has conducted a traffic count survey on County Road No. 43 at
its intersection with 5th Street Road, and has recommended to
the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, that "Stop" signs need to be installed on 5th Street
Road at the intersections onto County Road No. 43, so as to stop
all traffic entering County Road No. 43 , and, therefore, making
a four-way stop at the intersection of County Road No. 43 and
5th Street Road , and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners has studied the
recommendations of the Department of Engineering Services and
has determined that said signs are necessary for the protection
of the general public.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Com-
missioners, Weld County, Colorado, that the Department of
Engineering Services is directed to install "Stop" signs on 5th
Street Road at the Intersection of County Road No. 43, and, there-
by, creating a four-way stop at said intersection.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 12th day of
September, A.D. , 1977.

Subject:
As indicated by the traffic study attached, I would recommend
that stop signs be placed on 5th Street Road making County
Road 43 a thru road and removal of the existing stop signs
on County Road 43.
Would you please adopt the resolution for this stop sign
