The Weld County Youth Conservation Corps (WCYCC) is pleased to give their support to The Town of
Windsor's Diamond Valley Sports Park improvement project. Through varying levels of service, WCYCC will
work alongside project. and town personnel, to create a much needed multi -purpose field while simultaneously
supporting the development of employment related skills of young adults serving with WCYCC.
Through the planning process it was discussed that The 1 own of Windsor will utilize WCYCC crews to prepare
the 400" X 400' multi -purpose field site. Preparations include but are not limited to relocation of the current
brush recycling site, fence removal and general clean-up. In addition to site preparation WCYCC will lay sod
on the 26 all grass fields. The Town of Windsor will utilize WCYCC crews for a total of six weeks, four weeks
of paid service (4 X $5,850) and two weeks of in -kind service (2 X $5.850). Total purposed paid service is
$23,400 and in -kind service or match for this grant is valued at $11,700.
The Weld County Youth Conservation Corps looks forward to strengthening partnerships through this GOCO
initiative. The Town of Windsor will benefit from the creation of additional outdoor recreation space for their
expanding community. The opportunity for WCYCC to contribute to this collaborative project is invaluable and
long-lasting for the young adults serving as a member of WCYCC.
