VALLEY VIKINGS DAY
MONDAY, APRIL 17, 2017
WHEREAS, the Valley High School Wrestling Team attended the State Wrestling
Championship at the Pepsi Center on February 18, 2017, and
WHEREAS, the Valley Wrestling Team earned an overall score of 102.5, coming in
first for the 3A division, and
WHEREAS, the Valley Wrestling Team is now a four time state team champion,
and
WHEREAS, the Valley Wrestling Team had two individual champions, Aaron
Trujillo in the 145 weight class and Josh Flanagan in the 170 weight class, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners is proud of the accomplishment of
the Valley Wrestling Team and congratulates the team for their incredible season
and state title.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT PROCLAIMED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that in recognition of the Valley Wrestling Team, that
Monday, April 17, 2017, be known as Valley Vikings Day.
