NOTICE OF CANCELLATION OF RULEMAKING HEARINGS
BY THE WATER QUALITY CONTROL COMMISSION
The Water Quality Control Commission is cancelling the water quality
classification and standards hearings set for Pueblo, Colorado on
August 16, to be held at the Sangre de Cristo Arts & Conference Center,
and the hearing to be held in Greeley, Colorado in the 4-H Building,
Island Grove Park scheduled for September 13. This cancellation is to
allow for amendments of the Water Qiality Standards adopted May 2, 1978,
which it is felt will benefit the people of the State of Colorado by
providing for adoption of statewide standards at this time for appro-
priate parameters. It is felt that this will represent an important
time and cost savings to the State and the people of the State by
accomplishing one adoption of appropriate state-wide standards rather
than considering each of these values on a repetitive basis at each of
the classification hearings. After adoption of the amended regulations,
classification hearings will be renoticed and conducted in appropriate
locations throughout the state.
