SUBJECT: Motorgraders, Bid B1700013
The Public Works Department recommends awarding the bid to the second low bidder, 4 -Rivers Equipment.
The lowest bidder was Kough Equipment from Farming KY but they did not meet specifications in the low and
high gear horse power and tire size. The specifications call for 190hp in the lower gears and to at least 250hp
in the higher gears. The machine Kough Equipment bid has 166hp in the lower gears and 205hp in the higher
gears. Our specification for tire size is 14:00 x 24 and their spec had 17.5 X 25.
The base price of the machine is $214,900.00 each. We would like the following options as follows:
