RE: APPROVE APPOINTMENTS TO WELD COUNTY BRIGHT FUTURES BOARD
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, by Resolution #2017-1707, dated June 5, 2017, the Board approved the
newly drafted Bylaws of the Weld County Bright Futures Board, which call seven (7) positions to
be appointed by the Board of Commissioners, and
WHEREAS, the Weld County Board of Commissioners deems it advisable to appoint
Commissioners Mike Freeman and Barbara Kirkmeyer with terms to expire December 31, 2018;
David Thompson as the Workforce Development Board member position with a one-year term to
expire December 31, 2018; Rich Werner as the Director of Greeley/Weld County Economic
Development Action Partnership as a standing member, and Dale Hall, Scott Ehrlich, and Amy
Talent, with staggered terms set to expire December 31, 2018, December 31, 2019, and
December 31, 2020, respectively, to said Weld County Bright Futures Board.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that Commissioners Mike Freeman and Barbara Kirkmeyer, Rich Werner,
David Thompson, Dale Hall, Scott Ehrlich and Amy Talent be, and hereby are, appointed to the
Weld County Bright Futures Board, all with terms to expire as detailed above.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 5th day of July, A.D., 2017.
