JANEWAY 3199 50TH AVENUE COURT GREELEY, COLORADO 970.475-4957 July 24, 2017 To: Board of Assessment Appeals Subject: Property Assessment by Weld County To Whom It May Concern, I am deeply offended by Weld county's assessment of my property. Greed surges here in Weld county, which is also known for its "republican/conservative" perspective. What a lie. The housing market has been down for years and all of a sudden homes prices/values "skyrocket"?! The market is not own my us homeowners, it is subject to greed by all whom can profit. This mentally has caused great concern in the past, especially since "Glass-Steagall" was repealed and greed ran amuck. Evidence by banks cheating and 2008 recession. My reasonings for appeal are; 1. Home prices well exceed my home, whereas a 3300 sq ft home (vs 1800) is only 10k more than mine? No I do not believe so. Zillow is a culprit here and I believe Weld county is following this falsehood. Neighbor's property; (https: //www. zi l l ow. c om/hom edetai l s/3106-54 th-Ave-Greeley-CO- 80634/54818880_zpid/) 2. I have an unfinished basement which I have been told would cost 20-30k to finish. 259k is what Weld county has claimed my property is valued at. Please see number one. 3. I also have an unfinished garage, granted it is three car, it is NOT finished. Plus, Landscaper used cement rocks instead of real rocks and is causing a "meltdown" curb appeal. I will fix this but have to deal with an HOA that has screwed up so many times they have charged us for two management companies at one time. We cannot get rid of them if all of us are paying higher taxes and not enough for a lawyer. 4. Weld county IS NOT Adams or Denver county, prices here have never been as high AND I suspect that because of the last oil boom they think they can be greedy and value our homes higher. At this time, lots of jobs have been lost because of the running amuck greed and now oil and gas is pulling out. Witness; my spouse's career services job loss clientele. This is still not an excuse to value our homes higher, because at one time we ran amuck with greed. Since Weld county is losing jobs a surplus of homes will eventually bring home values down. Maybe this is why they are boosting our homes values because they know of this. Collusion. So, to conclude please rule in my favor at a home value not to exceed 225k, thanks for your time. Sincerely, Vic &'robin Janeway -4 0 0 I :6 WV 9Z ink' ltoz ,P 'iirSS'st+afl s Hello
