SUBJECT: Taqueria La Pasadita
Taqueria La Pasadita, located at 3505 11 ph Avenue in Evans, Colorado and owned by Taqueria
La Pasadita LLC, was originally scheduled to come before the board today due to issues of
ongoing non-compliance of the Colorado Retail Food Establishment Rules and Regulations.
The facility, however, has changed ownership.
To ensure that the facility does not continue to pose a risk to the public under the new ownership,
the Weld County Department of Public Health and Environment (Department) has set the
following requirements for the issuance of a new license at this location.
The facility shall remain closed and unlicensed until such time that the following occurs:
• Employment of a manager (or appointment of a current employee) to focus on food
safety and who holds an approved certification (ex: ServSafe, NEHA,
StateFoodSafety.com etc.).
• Contract with an approved consultant for at least 3 months with twice -monthly visits.
• Formal food safety training for all current employees (documentation provided to the
Department) and a training plan for new employees.
• Limitation of food service operations at the restaurant- no cooling of potentially
hazardous foods until such time that the facility can demonstrate substantial compliance.
• Servicing of all refrigeration equipment.
• Submission of a copy of a bill of sale as evidence of the business transaction. This
document need not have information regarding the terms of sale and may be provided
either by the current owner or the new owner.
• Completion of the change of ownership licensing paperwork that is required by
WCDPHE.
• Performance of an inspection by the Department to ensure the good working order of the
facility.
Should the establishment be unsuccessful in meeting the conditions imposed by the Department,
the Department will bring the matter back before Board.
