RE: CANCELLATION OF TAXES ON CERTAIN PERSONAL PROPERTY
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 39-10-114(2)(a), C.R.S., the Board of County
Commissioners may cancel any taxes levied on personal property which are determined to be
uncollectible after a period of one year after the date of becoming delinquent, and
WHEREAS, the Board has received a request from the office of the Weld County
Treasurer to cancel the taxes on equipment that was liquidated due to foreclosure which are listed
in the letter from John Lefebvre, dated June 16, 2017, which is attached hereto as Exhibit "A," for
the reasons stated therein, and
WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to cancel the personal property
taxes listed in Exhibit "A".
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that the Weld County Treasurer's request to cancel the personal property taxes
listed in Exhibit "A" be, and hereby is, approved.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 26th day of June, A.D., 2017.

As the Weld County Treasurer, State of Colorado, I request authorization by resolution to write off the
taxes related to this account pursuant to CRS
"39-10-114".
The reason for this request is as follows: The taxes placed on this property for Personal Property needs to
be canceled because the business no longer exists. According, to the Assessor's Office the equipment
was liquidated due to foreclosure. The assessor's office has deleted this account from the 2017 tax roll.
Therefore, these taxes are non -collectable.
The assessor's office has removed the Possessory Interest Lease assessment from the tax roll for 2016.
