Box 104 33040 Railroad Ave Lucerne, CO 80646 WELD COUNTY PO BOX 758 GREELEY, CO 80632 Dear WELD COUNTY, January 20, 2017 RECEIVED JAN 31 2017 WELD COUNTY COMMISSIONERS Phone: (970) 352-0222 Fax: (970) 352-0226 The annual meeting for The Weld County Underground Water Users Association (WCUWUA) is scheduled for February 28, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. at the Association's office in Lucerne, Colorado located at the address above. Please execute the ballot enclosed and return it to the office. The directors are providing you with the enclosed proxy and voting ballot to fill out and send back to the Association in lieu of your attendance at the annual meeting. The items to be voted on at the annual meeting include electing three directors for three-year terms, the levying of assessments and any other business that may properly come before the membership. The board currently consists of seven directors, Mike Hungenberg (President), Lynn Fagerberg (Vice-president), Frank Eckhardt, Keith Amen, Bryan Hoffner, Bruce Johnson and Dale Trowbridge (Secretary). The directors whose terms expire this year are Frank Eckhardt, Lynn Fagerberg and Bruce Johnson. These three are on the enclosed ballot. No other nominations have been made for director. The well pumping fees for 2017 are recommended by the directors to meet the budget needs of the company. The directors are recommending the well assessments be $2.75 per acre-foot of pumping. This is the same assessment rate as in 2016. If you would prefer to attend the annual meeting rather than fill out the enclosed proxy and ballot, or if you have questions or comments about the Association, the items of business, the proxy or the annual meeting, please contact Dale Trowbridge, Secretary of the Association, at the number above for further details and so that we can obtain a head count of those who plan to attend in person. Questions have been raised as to the possibility of well owners using their well for hydraulic fracking of oil & gas wells. The CLPWUA well augmentation plan does NOT augment wells for this use. Therefore, using a well for this purpose is outside of the policy of the company. Those who do use their well for purposes outside of the augmentation of the Association are risking future use of their well. Thank you for your continued support of the Association. Sincerely, ,9dc ANdfrtz,er Dale Trowbridge Secretary, Board of Directors Weld County Underground Water Users Association Consen+ Clogendo., 09/l3ii"7 GG PWCCI,/OT), Ca-Cr-H) 00/-71 I"1 2017-0348 r,C.
