RE: Transfer of Child Care Allocation
Dear Mr. Smith,
Please accept this request to transfer $500,000 from the SFY 2016-2017 Child Care
allocation from Weld County to Jefferson County and to transfer the related Child Care
Maintenance of Effort amount, which we estimate to be approximately $50,000. The
respective Boards of County Commissioners have agreed to this transfer and wish to
effect this transfer in order to mitigate the over -expenditures being experienced by
Jefferson County and to utilize the funding available in the most effective way.
Thank you for your consideration.
Sincerely,
BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS

Dear Greg,
Jefferson and Weld Counties have reached a mutual agreement wherein, pending the approval of the CCCAP Allocation
Administration, Weld County's FY 2016-17 CCCAP allocation would be reduced by $500,000, with an increase to
Jefferson County's CCCAP allocation in a like amount. It is understood and agreed by both parties that included within
the $500,000, is the County Maintenance of Effort. Jefferson County has agreed to assume the responsibility of meeting
the MOE requirements that accompanies the increase in allocation.
This one-time transfer is being made as a collaborative approach of both counties to best utilize CCCAP funds for their
intended use. It is both counties' understanding that the allocation for FY2017-18 will be based on initial allocation
levels.
The transfer is made in accordance with Agency Letter, ABA -11-05-1, from Jay Morein, Colorado Department of Human
Services.
Please let us know if you have any questions.
Sincerely,,
i/
