RE: APPROVE APPOINTMENT OF NICKIE PHILLIPS AS ASSISTANT VETERANS
SERVICE OFFICER
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Sections 28-5-801 through 805, C.R.S., the obligations, two-year
terms, and qualifications of County Veterans Service Officers are enumerated, and
WHEREAS, the Board deems it advisable to appoint Nickie Phillips replace Deon Harris
as Assistant Veterans Service Officer, with a term to begin April 23, 2018, and end April 22, 2020.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that Nickie Phillips be, and hereby is, appointed as an Assistant Veterans
Service Officer, with a term to expire April 22, 2020.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 23rd day of April, A.D., 2018.
