RE: APPROVE, IN -PART, PETITION FOR ABATEMENT OR REFUND OF TAXES FOR

WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, State of Colorado, at a
duly and lawfully called regular meeting held on the 18th day of July, 2018, at which meeting there
were present the following members: Chair Steve Moreno, and Commissioners
Barbara Kirkmeyer, Sean P. Conway, and Mike Freeman, with Commissioner Julie A. Cozad not
being present, and
WHEREAS, notice of such meeting and an opportunity to be present has been given to
the taxpayer and the Assessor of said County, with said Assessor, Christopher Woodruff, being
represented by Brenda Dones, Assessor's Office, and taxpayer, Equus Farms, Inc., being
represented by 1st Net Real Estate Services, Inc., not being present, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners has carefully considered the attached
petition, and is fully advised in relation thereto.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that the Board concurs with the recommendation of the Assessor and the

Please review the current assessment of $4,310,564. While the market has improved, we don't believe at the
value of the subject doubled between 6/30/2014 and 6/30/2016. Comps are obviously hard to come b or the
subject, but we believe that a value somewhere in the range of $2,400,000 represents a more realis, c market
value at 6/30/2016.

We have an abatement for Equus Farms scheduled for July 18th As we were
preparing our packet, we discovered that the numbers on the bottom of the
abatement form that we submitted were not accurate. I have attached another
abatement form with the corrected numbers. Will this suffice or do you need
something else? The tax agent is aware of the new numbers and is in agreement.
Please let me know if there is something else I need to do.
