Weld County and Weld County Public Works have been presented two different awards for excellence in
concrete paving from our industry peers the Colorado/Wyoming Chapter of the American Concrete
Paving Association.
The first award is for the WCR 47/SH 392 intersection in the category of municipal streets and
intersections with less than 30,000 cubic yards.
The second award is for the WCR 49 Design Build Project in the county roads category.
The judging criteria for the awards is the following:
Project schedule
Project scope
Concrete materials
Paving process
Quality control
Pavement smoothness
Sustainability
Innovation
Safety
Public relations
These two awards will now be competing for a national award at the ACPA conference at the end of
November.
